Configure UKG Pro Workforce Management for TeleStaff Integrations

How to configure UKG Pro Workforce Management for TeleStaff integrations.

This section covers configuration tasks to complete in UKG Pro Workforce Management before you configure the TeleStaff integrations.

TeleStaff license for people records

Assign the TeleStaff license to the people whose records are to be exported to TeleStaff:

  1. Log in with an account that has access to People Information, such as a manager account.
  2. Select Main Menu Maintenance > People Information.
  3. Select the person.
  4. In People Information, click tap Edit Licenses .
  5. In Scheduling, select TeleStaff .
  6. Click Tap Apply.
  7. Repeat for other people.

Configure a hyperfind

Configure the TeleStaff Integration hyperfind query.

Note: For detailed descriptions and instructions, see Hyperfind Queries.
  1. Log in with an administrator user account.
  2. Select Main Menu Administration > Application Setup.
  3. Select Common Setup > Hyperfinds.
  4. Click Tap Create .
  5. In Ad Hoc, select No.
  6. In the empty field, enter TeleStaff Integration as the name.
Note: Name the hyperfind " TeleStaff Integration" because that is the default name of the hyperfind that the People Export integration uses. If you use a different name, you must override the default name for the HyperfindAndLocations process property; see Configure the UKG TeleStaff People Export Integration.
  7. Click Tap Add Conditions.
  8. Select General Information > Employee License.
  9. In Employee License, select Include and TeleStaff .

The hyperfind filter must be set to include the TeleStaff license in order to limit the query to only those employees. The hyperfind can also filter by location, but make sure that the filtering does not deactivate person records in TeleStaff inadvertently.

  10. In Selected Conditions, click tap Add.
  11. Click Tap Apply.
  12. Click Tap Save.

Configure a UKG Pro Workforce Management tag

A tag separates scheduling and timekeeping components to process shifts accurately. To merge shifts that have multiple segments, the tag fills gaps with unpaid shift segments. These shift segments have a work rule that generates no pay for that segment. Then, you can select this tag as the value for the No Pay Segment Tag in Dimensions Integration in TeleStaff.

The following example shows the steps to create the building blocks: paycode, work rule, and tag. This example uses TSG No Pay for various building blocks, but you can use any names for your configuration.

  1. Create a paycode as follows:
    1. Select Main Menu Administration > Application Setup > Pay Policies > Pay Code Definition.
    2. In Name, enter TSG No Pay(example).
    3. In Multiplier, enter 0.00.
    4. In Add, enter 0.00.
    5. Leave all other settings at the default values.

    4. Click Tap Edit Pay Codes.
    5. From Available Pay Codes, select the TSG No Pay paycode. Click Tap the right arrow to move it to Selected Pay Codes.
    6. Click Tap Save and Return.
    7. Make sure that the TSG No Pay paycode is shown on the Pay Code Distribution Editor.
    8. Click Tap Save and Return.
  3. Create a work rule as follows:
    1. Select Main Menu Administration > Application Setup > Pay Policies > Work Rules.
