ACPs for timekeeping functionality

A number of timecard functions are controlled by ACPs within a Function Access Profile.

ACPs for employee and manager timecards

To access the timekeeping ACPs:

  1. From the Main Menu, go to Administration > Application Setup > Access Profiles > Function Access Profiles.
  2. Select a Function Access Profile from the list or click New.
  3. Select one of the following:
    • For employee access, expand Employee, then expand Timecard Editor for Employees (My Timecard).
    • For manager access, expand Manager - Department Manager, then expand Timecard Editor for Managers.
  4. The following ACPs are listed. To enable access, select Allowed and to disable access, select Disallowed. Note that the names of the can ACPs vary slightly between employees and managers.
  5. When finished, click Save & New or Save & Return.

Note:

Consider limiting the people who have access to the Remove Signoff ACP to payroll personnel. The timing of your payroll submission is not configured by default. It is unique to your environment. Even though there is usually an amount of time between pay period signoff and when payroll is generated, managers and employees should avoid removing signoff after a pay period is signed off, even if they think it is before payroll is run. Instead of removing signoff and making last-minute edits, managers and employees should contact their payroll department and let the payroll administrator make the adjustment.

The following timecard summary page actions are controlled by the following ACPs. All of these ACPs are located in Administration > Application Setup > Function Access Profiles > Manager - Department Manager.

ACPs for "pay from schedule"

When the following ACPs are set to Allowed in function access profiles, the employee's timecard will be prepopulated with the employee's schedule and the manager will be able to view the scheduled punches of pay-from-schedule employees. The scheduled time appears in purple in the employee's timecard.

  1. From the Main Menu, go to Administration > Application Setup > Access Profiles > Function Access Profiles.
  2. Select a Function Access Profile from the list or click New.

    Employee access

    1. Expand Employee, then expand Timecard Editor for Employees (My Timecard).
    2. Set the following ACPs to Allowed:

      Edits using scheduled amounts in My Timecard

      Display Projected Punches

    3. When finished, click Save & Return

    Manager access

    1. Expand Manager - Department Manager, then expand Timecard Editor for Managers.
    2. Set the following ACPs to Allowed:

      Edits using scheduled amounts in the Timecard Editor

      Display Projected Punches

    3. When finished, click Save & Return
