Manage access to timecard approval

Several function access control points control how managers can approve timecards.

  1. From the Main Menu, go to Administration > Application Setup > Access Profiles > Function Access Profiles.
  2. Select a Function Access Profile from the list or click New.
  3. Expand Manager - Department Manager > Timecard Editor for Managers > Approval in Timecard Editor. The selections are as follows:

    FACP

    Allowed

    Disallowed

    Add

    Manager can approve employee timecards. The Approve icon is available in employee timecards.

    Manager cannot approve employee timecards. The Approve icon is unavailable in employee timecards.

    Remove

    Manager can remove timecard approval made by himself. The Remove Approval icon is available in employee timecards.

    Manager cannot approve timecard approval made by himself. The Remove Approval icon is unavailable in employee timecards.

    Edit data after non-account approval by self

    Manager can edit a timecard after he or she approved it without removing the approval first.

    Manager cannot edit a timecard after he or she approved it. The manager must remove approval first (if allowed).

    Edit data after non-account approval by others

    Manager can edit a timecard after another manager approved it.

    Manager cannot edit a timecard after another manager approved it.

    Approve overtime

    Manager can approve overtime.

    Manager cannot approve overtime.

  4. When finished, click Save & New or Save & Return.
