Configure location profiles

Location profiles assign different characteristics or controls to single or multiple locations in the business structure. Location profiles are inherited in the business structure.

  1. Select Administration > Application Setup > Scheduler Setup > Location Settings > Location Profiles.
  2. Create or edit a location profile.
    • To create a new location profile, click New.
    • To copy a location profile, select it and then click Duplicate.
    • To edit a location profile, select it and then click Edit.
    • To remove a location profile, select it then click Delete. Click OK to confirm.
      Warning: >Only remove a profile if you also want to delete all associations to locations defined by this location profile. If your access profile does not display all locations, you may delete associations to locations that you cannot see. The system does not display a warning message.
  3. Enter a Name.
  4. (Optional) Enter a Description.
  5. Define options for location profiles according to their usage:
    1. Configure procedure sets:
      1. In Available Procedure Sets, select the procedure sets you want to include.

      2. Click the right arrow to move your selection to Selected Procedure Sets. To move all available procedures sets, click the double right arrow.

      3. To remove procedure sets, select them in Selected Procedure Sets, then click the left arrow (or double left arrow to remove all selected procedure sets).

    2. Configure metrics:
      1. In Available Metrics Settings, select the metrics you want to include.

      2. Click the right arrow to move your selection to Selected Metrics Settings. To move all available metrics, click the double right arrow.

      3. To remove metrics, select them in Selected Metrics Settings, then click the left arrow (or double left arrow to remove all selected metrics).

    3. Configure workload planner holidays:
      1. In Available Holidays, select the holidays you want to include.

      2. Click the right arrow to move your selection to Selected Holidays. To move all available holidays, click the double right arrow.

      3. To remove holidays, select them in Selected Holidays, then click the left arrow (or double left arrow to remove all selected holidays).

  6. To configure additional options:
    • Employee Average Wage Rate— (Optional) Enter the base wage rate. The Budgeted Costs indicator needs this value. If the value is zero, the indicator shows zero. Optionally select an effective date for the wage rate change.
    • Open Shift Average Wage Rate— (Optional) Enter the average wage rate for open shifts. The Open Shift Costs (Currency) indicator needs this value. If the value is zero, the indicator shows zero.
    • Average Wage Currency— (Optional) Select the currency of the average wage rates to convert from the default currency.
    • Open Shift Pay Rule— (Optional) Select the Pay Rule to apply to the location. The Open Shift Pay Rule is leveraged by the Auto-Break Placement feature to place breaks in open shifts. For assigned shifts, the employee’s Pay Rule is used by Auto-Breaks.
    • Predictive Scheduling Rule— (Optional) Select the Predictive Schedule Rule to apply to the location.
    • Anchor Date— (Optional) Enter the start date that is used to compute the generated Schedule Date.
    • Schedule Generation Frequency (days)— (Optional) Enter the frequency in days for which the schedule is generated (for example. every 2 weeks)
    • Schedule Generation Horizon (days)— (Optional) Enter the number of days for the future schedule to be generated. The horizon allows the system to compute how far out the schedule is generated starting at the anchor date.
  7. Click Save and Assign to Location.
  8. Select one or more locations to which you want to assign the location profile.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Click Save & Return.
