Skills and certifications
You can define job skills and certifications, which can then be added to a job code. To add skills and certifications to a job code, see Job code settings.
Employees need to have the skills and certifications assigned to them in People Information in order to work the jobs that require them. See Assign gaming skills and certifications to people.
Define skills
- Within the Gaming application, go to .

Click
New
to create a new skill, or select a skill and click Edit . - Add a name and description for the skill.
- Click Save.
Define certifications
- Within the Gaming application, go to .

New
to create a new certification, or select a certification and click Edit . - Enter a Certification Name and Description.

For
Warning, enter the number of days prior to the certification expiration that you want to send a warning. Warnings display on the time clock when an employee punches. The warning text states:
Warning! - The following certifications are about to expire, please renew:
CERTNAME expires on DATE .
If an employee's certification expires and the certification is required for the job they are punching in for, they will receive the following message and will not be able to punch in:
Employee is unable to work because the following certifications are not met:
CERTNAME

Optionally, for
Optional Preliminary Warning enter the number of days prior to certification expiration for a preliminary warning. Preliminary warnings display on the time clock when an employee punches. Preliminary warning text states:
The following certifications are approaching expiration:
CERTNAME expires on DATE .
