Job code settings
For each job code in your organization, you can configure how tips are handled. You can specify if a job code has tip compliance, tip declaration, or neither tip declaration or tip compliance for a job code.
You can also select the skills and certifications that are required for the job code. This ensures that when an employee punches in for a job, they have the skills and certifications required to work that job. Skills and certifications can be configured as required, optional, or conditional (certifications only). For optional skills and certifications, you can configure the number of optional skills or certifications an employee needs to have to work that job.

Select the
Enforcement Level, Required, Optional, or Conditional.
Conditional depends on the assignment and status of the certification in the employee's person record.
- For employees that have the certification assigned in their person record, they can work the job if the certification is current.
- For employees that do not have the certification in their person record, they can work the job.
For example, this might be useful in situations where a certification was never required for a certain job but is now required. For all employees that worked the job before the certification was required, they do not need to have the certification in their person record and can work the job. Other employees that only worked the job after the certification was required need to have a current certification in their person record to work the job.
