Paycode settings

Specify if a paycode qualifies for tip compliance, and set the hours multiplier for toke pool allocation.

Note:
  • Paycodes that are used for tip compliance must be visible in the timecard. In the paycode definition, make sure the Visible in the main area of Timecard and Schedule, on Hours Summary tab in Schedule, My Requests, and in associated Reports option is selected for paycodes that are used for tip compliance.
  • Duration paycodes are not supported for Gaming.
  • The settings defined for tip compliance only apply to manual timecard edits (that is, hours that are entered manually to the pay code, not hours assigned to the pay code by tip compliance processing).
  • The toke pool multiplier setting only applies to manual timecard pay code edits. This behavior changes if paycodes are excluded from tip and toke calculations. See Exclude paycodes from tip and toke calculations.

Configure paycode settings

  1. Within the Gaming application, go to Administration > Pay Code Settings. The table lists the paycode, if the paycode is tip compliant (Yes is listed if it is tip compliant, otherwise the field is blank), and the toke pool hours multiplier. Active paycodes that are not money paycodes are included in the list. Combined paycodes are not included in the list.
  2. Select a paycode and click Edit .
  3. If tip compliance applies to this pay code, then select Apply tip compliance rate to pay code edit.
  4. For Toke Pool Hours Multiplier, enter the toke pool hours multiplier for each hour worked. For example, if it is 1 hour for every hour worked, then enter 1; if it is 1.5 hours for every hour worked, then enter 1.5. A value of zero (0) indicates the paycode is not included in toke pool processing.
  5. Select Paid Time Off to identify the pay code as a PTO pay code. This allows PTO paycodes to be grouped together when you view and print toke pool allocations. For more information, see Group paid time off (PTO) paycodes for toke pool allocations.
  6. Click Save.

Exclude paycodes from tip and toke calculations

For paycodes that do not need to be included for tip calculations or toke pool processing, for example training or absence paycodes, you can exclude these paycodes.

  1. Within the Gaming application, go to Administration > Gaming Configuration.
  2. Select the Pay Code Restrictions option. When the Pay Code Restrictions option is selected:
    • Tip compliance calculation and toke multiplier settings need to be configured by paycode in the Paycode Settings. (The global toke pool hours multiplier options are disabled in Gaming Configuration when the Pay Code Restrictions option is selected).
    • The paycode settings defined for tip compliance apply to manual timecard edits AND hours assigned to the pay code by tip compliance processing.
    • The toke pool multiplier setting applies to all pay code hours for toke pool allocations, regardless of whether they are calculated or manually entered in the timecard.
  3. Select Save.
  4. Configure paycode settings. See Configure paycode settings.
