Setup and configure Gaming
Before you setup and configure the Gaming application:
When this is complete, login to the Gaming application with the seed user credentials for initial setup and configuration.
Enable access to the Gaming application
A custom tile needs to be configured and added to the home page to access the Gaming application.

- Select .
- Click Create
. - Enter a name for the tile, for example Gaming.
- Enter a Label to display at the top of the tile, this could also be Gaming.
- For Tile Type, select External Link.
- Leave Icon and Content Provider blank.
- Enter the URL for the gaming server:
http[s]://servername/gaming/login
where servername is the server name or vanity URL.
Note: Be sure to add gaming/login after the server name in the URL. - Click Save.
- Add the tile to the home page and display profile for the necessary users. For more information, see Home page Management.
Create and assign Gaming licenses
For all gaming users, a gaming license needs to be assigned in their person record. Create the gaming license field as a custom field label. All users that have the gaming license activated will be available in People Information within the Gaming application.
- Go to .
- Click Insert a new row .
- For the label text, enter Gaming License. This must be entered exactly as is, with the space and capitalization.
- Click Save.
- Go to .
- Select the employee, and then go to .

For the Gaming License field, set the value to true.Note: If this field value is blank, the value is considered false.
- Click Save.
After you assign Gaming licenses, setup a data sync event to synchronize People Information between the main system and the Gaming application. See Synchronize People Information.
View Gaming license count
System settings are available that allow you to show the custom field count for all employees that have an active license. To view the number of Gaming licenses assigned, enable the following system settings:
- global.entitlement.customfield.list
- global.entitlement.show.customfield.count
When these setting are enabled, license counts appear on the Entitlement Summary page in the Assigned Seats column. For more information, see the Global Values System Settings and Entitlement Summary online help topics.
Configure password expiry duration
Password expiration duration must be specified in the logon profile assigned to gaming employees. The number of days should match your organization's password policy.
- Go to .
- Open the necessary logon profile.

On the password tab, for Expiration Frequency, enter the number of days for expiration frequency.Note: The expiration frequency for the Integration User should be set to never expire.
- Click Save.
