Manage Timecards Tile
The Exception tile (Manage Timecards tile) provides a way for managers to easily review and manage exceptions for multiple employees before approving timecards.
Exceptions are grouped into categories. Each category appears as a list item on the tile and includes information, such as the number and type of exceptions, and (if configured) actions managers can take to resolve exceptions and approve timecards.
Note: The default exception tile is called Manage Timecards. Since exception tiles can be customized, your tile may have a different name.
Use the Manage Timecards tile
- Select the timeframe from the drop-down at the top of the tile.
- View exceptions and take action. For each list item on the tile, the total number of exceptions for that category is displayed. More detail is also provided about the number of exceptions per type. Click the arrow
to open the employee timecards with these exceptions. Note: For managers that can view projected punches in the timecard, exception counts include exceptions on projected punches.If the exception category has been configured with the Mark as Reviewed button, select this option to mark all exceptions as reviewed. Note the following exception types cannot be marked as reviewed from the tile:- Cancelled Deduction
- Core Hours Violation
- Excused Absence
- Unexcused Absence
- Holiday Schedule Violation
- Invalid Named Duration
- Minimum Days Active Violation
- Minimum Days Employed Violation
- Missed In Punch
- Missed Out Punch
- Work History Violation
- Approve timecards. In the Clean Timecards category (the name of this category may be different depending on how your tile is configured), select Approve All to approve all timecards that do not have exceptions or pending changes. (If available, click tap the actions
and select Refresh to refresh the counts on the tile after taking an action.) Note: This option is only available when it is configured to appear in the tile and when the Current Pay Period or Previous Pay Period is selected for the timeframe. - View timecards. Depending on how the tile is configured, you can display all of your employee timecards or only those employee timecards that have exceptions. Click the All Timecards or Unresolved Timecards icon (
) at the top right of the tile.
