Open multiple components in separate tabs or windows
Using the capabilities of your browser, you can access multiple components in separate tabs or windows. For example, you can open the Schedule Planner and Employee Timecards pages in separate tabs within the same browser window or you can open them in separate windows.
For example, to do this in Chrome, right-click a component from the Main Menu and select Open Link in New Tab, then right-click another component from the Main Menu and select Open Link in New tab, and so forth. The browser-specific limitations determine the number of tabs or windows that you can open.
Depending on the selected context (timeframe and Hyperfind), the behavior of each new tab or window is as follows.
Usage |
Behavior |
---|---|
To open multiple pages from a page that has no context (Home, for example):
|
Every page that opens in a new tab or a new window loads in its default context. |
To open multiple pages from a page that has a specified, non-default, context:
|
Every page that opens in a new tab or a new window always opens in its default context. It does not preserve the context of the page that triggered it. |
To synchronize saved changes among different opened pages:
|
When you change a page that could impact the information on other opened pages, the information does not update automatically.
