Configure pay from schedule
Pay from schedule refers to the option of populating employee timecards with data drawn from their scheduled arrival and departure time, rather than from actual punches.
To configure pay from schedule, complete the following steps.
Set function access control points
- From the Main Menu, go to and select .

To view an employee's schedule information in the timecards, set the following to "Allowed":
- For Employee (on My Timecard): -
- For Manager (on any Employee Timecard): -

To display pay from schedule punches and hours in the timecard, set the following to "Allowed"
- For Employee (on My Timecard):
- For Manager (on any Employee Timecard):
Modify System Settings
- From the Main Menu, go to and select .

Click the
Global Values tab and set the following to
Yes.
global.WtkTotalizer.ProcessScheduledPayCodeEditComments
This enables comments to be displayed in scheduled paycode edits.

Click the
Timekeeping tab and set the following to
Yes:
site.timekeeping.displayScheduledPCEStartTime
This enables the following to be displayed:- Standard and cascading scheduled paycode edits— Displays start time (punch in). The time can also be edited.
- Scheduled Leave edits— Displays start time (punch in). The time can also be edited.
- Scheduled duration pay code edits— Displays start and end time (punch in and punch out). These times can also be edited.
Modify pay rule settings
- From the Main Menu, go to and select .
- Select the applicable pay rule and click Edit.

For
Scheduled Pay Code Edits, select how you want scheduled pay codes edits to be handled,
Always Apply or
Cancel when timecard edits or punches exist on the day.Note: When Always Apply is selected, paycode edits created in the Schedule Planner become non-editable in the timecard. To modify these edits, make the changes in the Schedule Planner.

To pay an employee according to their scheduled shifts, select Yes for
Pay From Schedule (Shifts). Pay from schedule shifts are canceled when actual events (for example, real punches or timecard edits) exist on the day.
When Yes is selected, the following entities are editable on the timecard:
- Scheduled punches (on hourly timecard)
- Scheduled hours worked (on project timecard)
- Scheduled paycode edits (standard, cascading, duration)
- Scheduled Leave edit
- Scheduled transfer for scheduled shift, paycode entry, Leave edit

If you have pay codes that you do not want to cancel pay from schedule (shifts) when they are entered in the timecard as a pay code edit (for example, bonus or credit pay codes), select the pay code's associated pay code tag from the
Pay code tag that does not cancel pay from schedule list. All pay codes associated with the selected pay code tag will not cancel pay from schedule.

- To pay an employee from their schedule on holidays, select Yes for Pay From Schedule applies on Holidays. This includes options selected for Pay From Schedule (Shifts) and Scheduled Pay Code Edits.
- When finished, click Save.
Modify Punch Interpretation Rule settings
- From the Main Menu, go to and select .
- Select one of the rules and click Edit.

Make sure that the following have values:
- When finished, click Save.
