Hyperfind examples

There number and types of Hyperfind queries are numerous, but here are a few examples.

How do I create a Hyperfind to identify only the paycode data needed?

  1. From the Main Menu, go to Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Hyperfinds.
  2. Click Create The Hyperfind Editor opens.
  3. Enter the name of the Hyperfind.
  4. Click Add description and then enter a description in the text box.
  5. In the Ad Hoc area, click No.
  6. Click Add Conditions.
  7. From the Filter list, select Time Management > Pay Code.
  8. In the Worked field, select More than or equal to.
  9. In the Amount field, enter 1.
  10. Select one paycode and click Add in the Selected Conditions area. If applicable, select another paycode and click Add. Each paycode must be added one at a time.
  11. When finished click Apply.
  12. When finished, click Test Hyperfind. The Test panel opens so you can see a preview of how the filters are applied and what employees are returned. After reviewing the results, click Done. Continue to fine-tune the query or click Save or Save As.

How do I create a Hyperfind for terminated employees?

  1. From the Main Menu, go to Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Hyperfinds.
  2. Click Create The Hyperfind Editor opens.
  3. Enter a name.
  4. Click Add description and then enter a description in the blank text box.
  5. In the Ad Hoc area, click No.
  6. From the Filter list, select Timekeeper > Employment Status.
  7. In the Status box, select Terminated.
  8. Click Add Conditions. The Select Conditions workspace displays the available filters on the left while the rest of the workspace provides the fields applicable to the selected filter. The Selected Conditions area at the bottom of the workspace displays the filters that have been selected.
  9. From the Selected Conditions area, click Add.
  10. Review the condition and click Apply to add the conditions to the Hyperfind query.
  11. When finished, click Test Hyperfind. The Test panel opens so you can see a preview of how the filters are applied and what employees are returned. After reviewing the results, click Done. Continue to fine-tune the query or click Save or Save As.

How do I create a Hyperfind to list all employees hired in a specific timeframe

  1. From the Main Menu, select Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Hyperfinds.
  2. Click Create The Hyperfind Editor opens.
  3. Enter the name. This is the label that users see in the Select Hyperfind drop-down list.
  4. Click Add Conditions.
  5. From the Filter list, select Timekeeper > Employment Status.
    • In the Status box, select Active
    • In the As of area, select Today.
  6. In the Selected Conditions area, click Add.
  7. From the Filter list, select User Information > User Account Status.
    • In the Status box, select Active
    • In the As of area, select Today.
  8. In the Selected Conditions area, click Add.
  9. From the Filter list, select Timekeeper > Employment Status.

    Select Active Within Specified Time Period and check By Effective Date.

  10. In the Selected Conditions area, click Add.
  11. Click Apply.
  12. In the Hyperfind Editor:
    1. Select Ungroup All.
    2. Select Employee employed and working as of today and User Accounts are active as of today, then click OR.
    3. Select No in the Ad Hoc area.
    4. Click Add Description and then enter a description in the text box.
    5. In the Visibility area, select Personal or Public
    6. Click Save.

The Hyperfind criteria should look like the following:

(User Account Active as of today OR Employee employed and working as of today) AND (Employee who became active in the specified time period)
