Manage Dataview profiles
Dataviews may contain sensitive information that should only be viewed by certain users. An administrator can restrict the users who can view certain Dataviews by creating a profile that contains the Dataviews that the user is allowed to see.
After you configure a Dataview, you can assign it to a Dataview profile to control the users who can access it. You can assign zero, one, or more Dataviews to a Dataview profile.
Open the Dataview profile page
- Select Main Menu
> Administration > Application Setup > Display Preferences > Display Profile Building Blocks > Dataview Profile. The Dataview Profile page contains all the existing Dataview profiles, which you can edit. - Click Tap Filter
and type a partial string in the empty row below the column headings to search for the Dataview profile that you want to edit. - Click Tap Column Selection to select the columns to view on this page.
- Click Tap New
to create a new Dataview profile.
Create a Dataview profile
- Go to .
- Click

. - Enter a name for the profile.
- Optionally, enter a description.
- In the Dataviews list,
click tap the Dataviews to associate with the Dataview profile.
- A checkmark appears after the selected Dataview.
- The Dataviews are highlighted in the list.
- The Dataview names appear after the Current assigned Dataviews label.
- Click Save.
You can assign one or multiple Dataviews.
Edit a Dataview profile
Edit a Dataview profile for each user for whom you want to change the assigned Dataviews .
- In the Name text box, type the name of the profile that you want to create.
- In the Description text box, type an optional description.

In the Dataviews list,
Click Tap the Dataviews to associate with the Dataview profile.
- A checkmark appears after the selected dataview.
- The Dataviews are highlighted in the list
- The Dataview names appear after the Current assigned Datavews label.
You can assign one or multiple Dataviews.
Assign a Dataview profile
A Display Profile determines the information visible to a type of user, such as a manager, hourly employee, or administrator. You can assign a Home page profile to a Display profile to enable that user to view the associated Home Page.
- Select .
- Click Tap the Display Profile that you want to associate with the Home page profile and click Edit
. - Click Tap the Home Page Profile arrow.
- From the drop-down list, select the Home Page profile to associate with the Display Profile.
- Click Tap Save.
