Scheduling Profiles
After you select Scheduling from the Standard Profile landing page, the Scheduling Profiles list page opens. This page is a grid that displays the current Scheduling Profiles and the attributes of each profile.
- You can edit the existing profiles, create new ones, or export the page to an Excel .csv file.
- To create a Scheduling Profile, click tap Add .
- To edit a Scheduling Profile, select a profile from the list and
click tap
Edit
.
To select more than one profile, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting profiles.
To select the maximum number of profiles (100 rows), click tap Select Maximum . To clear all selections, click tap Unselect All .
- To export the list page to an Excel .csv file, click tap Export ,then select the .csv link at the bottom of the page.

or Edit , add or edit the following attributes: Note:- Select No Change if you do not want the profile to overwrite the previous value when the profile is applied to an updated employee. If you select No Change and the profile is assigned to a new employee, the default value for the field is assigned, which is usually nothing, or blank, depending on the existing behaviors.
- Select Unassign to remove or end date an existing value. This is typically used for employee job changes, leave cases, or terminations. If you select Unassign for a new employee, the employee is assigned default values.
- Profile Name— Enter or edit the Scheduling Profile name. The name must be unique.
- Status— Select Active or Inactive.
- Group Assignment— Select a group assignment from the list. These assignments are defined in Main Menu > Groups. Employees can be assigned to multiple schedule groups.
- Schedule Group Override— Select a Schedule Group Override from the list.

Schedule Rule Set— Select a schedule rule set from the list. This rule set contains restrictions and requirements about the jobs, number of hours, and which shifts and days the employee can work. If the employee is assigned to a schedule that violates a rule, a schedule rule violation displays in the Schedule Planner.

Minor Rule Set— Select a minor rule set from the list if an employee between the ages of 14 to 17. Minor rules (

) cover rules about the hours that an employee can work outside of school time.
Employee School Calendar Assignment— Select a school calendar ( ; see the Configure minor rules and school calendarstopic), No Change, or Unassign.
Emancipated Minor— Select No Change, True, or False.
- Manager Schedule Group Profile— Select a Schedule Group Profile from the list. The Schedule Group Profile, which is defined in defined in Main Menu > Scheduler Profiles,contains a number of employees who have similar working arrangements. You can select all or some of the employees in the group and assign them the same schedule, add a shift, or replace or extend the time of an existing shift as a single operation.
- Manager Shift Template Profile— Select a Shift Template Profile from the list. A shift template is a shift with all its segments that are assigned to multiple employees and reused as needed. Shift templates save time if you have employees who work standard shifts. These profiles are defined in Main Menu > Shift Templates.
- Manager Pattern Template Profile— Select a Pattern Template Profile from the list. A pattern template is a series of shifts and paycodes that is saved with a name, but without dates or assigned employees and are defined in Main Menu > Pattern Templates.
- Forecasting Category Profile— Select a Forecasting Category Profile from the list. These profiles are defined in Main Menu > Forecasting Category Profiles.

When finished,
click tap
Save.
Caution: You can click tap to remove your edits only if you have not saved the entry. After you save the entry, you can change the status to Inactive but you cannot delete the entry.
