Replace shifts
Note: To use this functionality, you must have the appropriate access rights.
You can replace a shift for one or more employees. When selecting multiple employees, they all must have the same shift on the same day. You cannot replace signed-off shifts, locked shifts, shifts during locked days, or pay codes.
Note: The Replace Shift functionality is not available in the Job view of the Schedule Planner.
To replace shifts:
- tap Click Tap the check box next to each employee's name whose shifts you want to replace. (You can also Control+click or Shift+click the employees.)

Right-click Tap one of the selected employees, select
More Actions
in the glance, then select Replace shift . - In Step 1: Find Shifts, enter the Start Date, End Date, Start Time, and End Time of the shift you want to replace.
- Click Tap Next.

In
Step 2: Replace Shifts, specify the replacement shift using one of the following methods:
- Manually create a shift. See Add a shift for more information.
- Click Tap Use Template, then in the Choose Template slider, select an existing shift template.
- (Optional) Edit the shift parameters as needed.

Apply.
Note: The following behavior applies only if your system has been configured to synchronize shift labels.
- If you manually add a label and the label matches an existing shift template, but the segments are different, an error message displays.
- If you manually add a label and the label matches an existing shift template, and the segment start and end times also match, the label is saved and displays on the shift.
- If a replaced shift is created and the label is manually added, the label is saved and displays on the shift.
- If a replaced shift is created using a shift template, the label is removed.
- Click Save in the Schedule Planner.
