Append time to multiple shifts
To only change the start or end time of the same shift for multiple employees on the same day, append time to a shift.
Example: You may want to schedule all employees in a department to come into work one hour early.
Note: You cannot append time to paycodes, signed-off shifts, locked shifts, or shifts during locked days.
- To select the employees whose shifts you need to modify. click tap the check box next to each name. (You can also Control+click or Shift+click the employees.)
- Right-click Tap one of the selected employees and select Append Shift
in the glance. - Specify the Effective Date.
- In Append To, select whether to append time to the Start or End of the current shift.
- Enter the Duration of the added time, using standard duration format.
- If the segment is a Transfer, select (choose one or more):
- Business Structure — Select New, then select or search for a location transfer from the Business Structure. Access to perform transfers in the Business Structure must be enabled.
- Work Rule— Enter the name or search for and select the work rule. Access to Perform Work Rule Transfers must be enabled.
- Payer Cost Center— Select New, then select or search for and select a cost center. Access to perform a Cost Center transfer must be enabled.
- Labor Categories— Select the labor category that you want to transfer, select or search for the labor category entry. Access to perform a Cost Center transfer must be enabled.
Note: A transfer is not valid for Break or Unavailable segment types. - Click Tap Apply.
Note: The following behavior applies only if your system has been configured to synchronize shift labels.
- If you manually added the label to the shift, the label is saved and displayed on the shift.
- If the shift was created using a shift template, the shift label is removed.
