Use the Dataview Library

The Dataview Library contains the list of Dataviews that are available for your use.

To access the Dataview Library, from the Main Menu, select Dataviews & Reports > Dataview Library. Dataviews are organized and grouped by product category, such as Timekeeping or Scheduling. Each Dataview is identified by type: Employee, Business Structure, or Business Structure Time Series (Analytics only).

The Dataview Library also displays:

  • Total number of Dataviews within the library
  • Total number of Dataviews within each category
  • Type of Dataview: Business Structure or Employee

Open a Dataview

Click Tap the main area of the Dataview to open it.

View and use the Dataview detail window

The Dataview Detail panel shows details about the Dataview.

  1. In the Dataview Library, click tap the arrow to the right of an individual Dataview to open a panel and preview these details:
    • Subject, for example, Employee
    • Time Period, for example, Current Period
    • Location, for example, All Home
    • Description of the selected View
  2. Click Tap Open Dataview to navigate to a selected Dataview.
  3. Close Dataview Details by clicking tapping the X in the top right corner of the window.

Download a Dataview

If the number of records in an Employee or Business Structure Dataview exceeds the threshold limitation for displaying it, when you click tap the Dataview, a download option automatically opens so that you can create a download file of the data.

Note: You must have the appropriate privileges to access downloads.
  1. From the Dataview Library, click tap the Dataview that you want to view.
  2. If the Dataview has too many records to display, you receive a message asking whether you want to create a download of your selection. The message includes a Download button.
  3. Click Tap the Download button to create a download file of the data. You are automatically directed to the Downloads page where you can access the files.

  4. Select the download file of your choice. It is downloaded in comma-separated value (.csv) format and you can open it with the application of your choice. It is stored locally in your downloads folder.
  5. If you navigate away from the Downloads page and want to return to it, from the Dataview Library click tap Navigate to Downloads in the upper left of the page.
