      • Work with Dataviews

A Dataview is a configurable tool for analyzing data and taking actions on a group of employees or an organization. It gives you immediate access to information about your business in a table or chart.

      • Manage Charts
      • Print from a Dataview

      • Save a Dataview

      • Restore a Dataview

After you personalize a Dataview, you can restore it to the original version.

      • About downloading Dataviews

      • Download a Dataview that exceeds display limitations

If the number of records in an Employee or Business Structure Dataview exceeds the threshold limitation for displaying it, when you select the Dataview, a download option automatically opens so that you can create a download file of the data.

      • Dataview Accessibility

      • Drill Down in a Business Structure Dataview

You can use a Business Structure Dataview to get a summarized view your organization with the ability to drill down to the root cause of performance and other issues.

      • Dataview Currency

Each tenant has a defined, default currency that is preconfigured to display monetary data. The default currency is implicitly assigned to all employees in an Employee Dataview and all locations in a Business Structure Dataview.

      • Sign-Off Preparation

Sign-off preparation enables users, such as payroll administrations, to temporarily prevent employees and managers from making timecard edits or submitting changes while they are preparing the timecard for sign-off.

Print from a Dataview

  1. From the Dataview toolbar, click tap Share .
  2. Click Tap Print. In the Print panel, the items that are available to print are displayed.
  3. Select the items that you want to print, and click tap Continue.
  4. A preview of the items you want to print appears in your browser. To print, use your browser's print capability.

What you'll see on the screen

  • All items selected to print open in a new tab in the browser window.
  • A stacked view of the items selected to print shows the tables at the top, followed by any associated charts.
  • A header appears at the top of the screen. The header includes the refresh date and time, the context and location selectors, and the person’s name who requested the print job.
  • The header also includes any refinements that have been applied to data in the table, such as filtering, sorting, and grouping.
  • Icons on the screen, such as sort and filter icons in column headings, appear in the print preview and on the printout.
  • Chart legends appear in the preview and printout, even if legends are turned off in the Display Settings of the Create/Edit Chart panel.
  • If the table you print is greater than 1000 rows, only the first 1000 rows will print. An alert warns you if you try to print a table greater than 1000 rows.
  • A number at the top of the screen indicates how many rows are displayed. If it is a partial data set, it does not show totals.
