Edit tip methods
Tip methods can be modified in signed-off and non signed-off time periods. For signed-off time periods, you can make edits up to 90 days in the past. Historical corrections will automatically be created as necessary to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Important: If the tip method is changed from Tip Declaration to another method, any tip declaration paycodes that were manually entered during the impacted time period will also need to be manually reviewed and removed (if necessary) from the timecard.
To edit tip methods in signed-off time periods, the Allow Tip Method Change in Signed-Off Period option must be selected in the Gaming configuration. See Setup gaming configuration.
- Within the Gaming application, go to .
- Select an employee.
- Expand the Gaming group.
- In the table, specify the tip method as Tip Compliance, Tip Declaration, Refer to Job, Neither Tip Compliance or Tip Declaration, or None and select the start and end dates. The tip method, when specified as Refer to Job, is determined by referring to the value defined in the job code.
- Select Save.
