Manage Iterations

An overview of managing iterations.

The Iterations page allows you view Scenario dashboards, information and Dataviews related to specific iterations in a scenario. You can also add comments to a specific iteration or charts within an iteration's dashboard.

View Scenario dashboards

Scenario Dashboards provide analytics for creating and reviewing iterations of scenarios.

Dashboards appear on the bottom half of the page as you select different iterations. If multiple scenario dashboards are available, use the Dashboard drop down list to select the relevant dashboard. If possible, use the Organization Level and Site filters to further refine data.

Add comments

  • To comment on an entire iteration, click , enter text and click .

  • To comment on a specific chart within a dashboard, click within the appropriate chart and select Add Comment. Enter text and click .

Configure an iteration

A version of a scenario which may be run for an entire estate or subsection of an estate. Model or site settings can be modified before rerunning and comparing different calculation outputs. A scenario can have multiple iterations.

Note: If the icon appears, this indicates that the scenario was run for a subsection of the model.

To configure an iteration, perform these steps:

  1. Click Iterations in the appropriate scenario row.

  2. Enter a name and description.

  3. Click Save.

Run an iteration

If you need make changes to settings before running an iteration, use the tabs at the top of the page to access and make edits to different parts of the model. You can also adjust date effective values for Site Attributes in the Estate page which impact the model. Then return to the Iterations page to run an iteration.

Note: Some of the settings of this functionality are released with limited availability. For more information, contact your UKG Representative.

To run an iteration:

  1. Select an iteration from the list.

  2. When running an iteration you can choose to use the live model or a model version. An iteration can be marked as live only when it is run against the live model. Do one of the following:

    • Select Use Live Model to indicate whether the system should use live model values to run the iteration. This option is available for non-live iterations only. Selecting this option disables the Select Model Version drop-down list.

    • From Select Model Version, make the appropriate selection. This option is available when you are running a non-live iteration only and when Use Live Model is not enabled.

  3. From Organization, make the appropriate selection. This selection determines the options that appear in the Select Sites list. If you select nothing the entire organization will be run.

  4. In Select Sites, use the search field or select the appropriate site entry. Use the arrows to move the site entries to the bottom box to include in the iteration run.

  5. Click .

A message appears in the Information slide-out panel reporting the iteration is in process and changes to Success upon completion. Refer to notifications to confirm when the iteration has run and whether it has been successful.

View information

To view information about a specific iteration:

  1. Select the appropriate iteration from the list.

  2. Click and the Information panel appears.

View Dataviews

  1. Select the appropriate iteration from the list.

  2. Click and the list of available Dataviews appear.

From each dataviews page you can:

  • Click to download a dataview.

  • Select a range of dates in which to view information.

  • You can also make adjustments to columns:

  • To lock a field, click .

  • To unlock a field, click .

  • To collapse a column, click .

  • To open a previously collapsed column, click .
