App Installation and access.

Minimum Operating System

OS Requirements.

It is recommended that you have at least 75MB of available storage on your mobile device to download and use the mobile app.

In order to install and use the UKG Dimensionsmobile app, the mobile device must be running at least the following operating system versions:

  • Apple devices: iOS and iPadOS Version 12
  • Android devices (includes phones, tablets, and Zebra TC51/TC52 devices): Version 6

In order to install and use the UKG Pro Mobile app, the mobile device must be running at least the following operating system versions:

  • Apple devices: iOS and iPadOS Version 13
  • Android devices (includes phones, tablets, and Zebra TC51/TC52 devices): Version 8

Downloading the App

The mobile app can be downloaded from the applicable "app store."

The mobile app can be downloaded from the App Store for Apple mobile devices and from the Google Play Store for Android mobile devices.

Accessing the installed App

Once the app is installed, simply tap the system icon on the device screen to launch the app.

The first time you access the system, you will need to enter a valid Tenant URL; you can type in the URL or scan a QR-coded URL here. Once the URL is validated, the device is connected to the system, where you can enter your username and password. Subsequent access to the system will only require username and password.

Permissions

The following permissions will be presented while using the app.

  • Access your Location
  • Access the camera on the device
  • Access the Photo Library (or Gallery) on the device.
  • Allow notifications to sent to the device.

You must Allow the access when first prompted. After you have allowed access, the items will appear in the App Settings, where they can be turned off and on.

Change the Tenant URL

Changing the identifier.

The URL that you used when you last successfully logged in is saved when you launch the app. If the server is available, you will be presented with the login screen. If your server is unavailable, you will be able to enter a new URL by typing in the address or scanning a QR-coded URL.

To change the URL from the login screen, tap the arrow in the upper right corner of the screen and select Settings. At the Settings screen, you can enter a new URL.
