Timecard Transactions

The Timecard Transactions entity provides detailed data related to each timekeeping transaction. It provides a row for each employee and each day, for all types of timecard transactions, such as Worked Shift Segment, Paycode Edit, Absence Exception, Historical Correction, and Hours Worked, and Overtime Approvals.

The Timecard Transactions entity enables a manager to view the actual duration and wages related to a timecard transaction. In addition, it makes available the paycode name and associated comments that are related to the transaction. You can also view the data in the Timecard Transactions entity by worked job or worked labor category when it is used with the Worked Joband Labor Categoryentity, respectively. It also allows you to see the in- and out-punches for a shift along with geolocation details related to each punch.

When you use data columns from the Timecard Transactions entity, you must include the Transaction Type data column. This data column is parameterized and requires you to select the desired types of transactions to include in the data it returns. Choose from the following options:

Absence Exceptions	Transaction type that returns excused and unexcused absence exceptions
Historical Correction	Transaction type that returns Historical Correction transactions performed during the selected time period
Hours Worked	Transaction type that returns only Hours Worked transactions
Overtime Approvals	Symbolic transaction type that returns all Pending Overtime, Overtime Approval, and Overtime Denial transactions
Paycode Edit	Transaction type will return only actual Paycode Edit transactions
Raw Total	Transaction type that returns the totals as produced by the Totalizer. Data is returned for each worked span by employee, paycode, worked job, worked labor category, worked cost center, and worked work rule.
Raw Total By Calendar Day	Transaction type that returns the same data as the Raw Total transaction type, but worked spans that cross midnight will be split to provide the totals per day, regardless of the employee’s pay rule. Data is returned for each worked span by employee, paycode, worked job, worked labor category, worked cost center and worked work rule.
Raw Totals	Symbolic transaction type that returns all Raw Total and Raw Total By Calendar Day transactions
Time Detail	Symbolic transaction type that returns all Worked Shift Segment, Paycode Edit, Absence Exception, Historical Correction, Hours Worked, and Worked Holiday Edit transactions
Worked Holiday Edit	Transaction type that returns only Worked Holiday Edit transactions
Worked Shift Segment	Transaction type that returns only Worked Shift Segment transactions

Additional information

The Timecard Transactions entity provides two special Transaction Types named Raw Total and Raw Total by Calendar Day.

The Raw Total transaction type returns the raw data generated by the Totalizer at the worked span level. The data is provided by Employee, Paycode, “Worked” Job, “Worked” Labor Category, and “Worked” Work Rule. The Raw Total by Calendar Day transaction type is similar, except that it splits totals for worked spans that cross midnight into separate totals and ignores the employee’s assigned Pay Rule.
