Coverage Page

The Coverage page displays current coverage information for each job you are qualified to work for the current week. Coverage information is displayed by zone or shift span for those jobs. You can use coverage information to support your decision making when planning time off and when seeking other shifts.

The Coverage page is divided into three main sections:

  • The top of the page includes:
    • Controls for changing the week displayed for your schedule; the week that contains the current date is displayed by default.
    • Based on your system configuration, this section can also display:
      • A button to open your location schedule
      • A button to display a list of requests you can submit
  • The middle section includes:
    • Controls that allow you to filter coverage information based on date, assignment, job, and span. Coverage information is updated only after you click tap Apply.
    • An information icon () that displays a schedule legend when you click tap it.
    • A Loaded: field that displays the time that schedule and coverage information were last updated.
  • The bottom section includes:
    • calendar that displays your scheduled events (shifts and paycodes) for the selected week and
    • Coverage information for selected job and the spans defined for those jobs

Coverage information is summarized using:

  • Color coded symbols
  • A numeric abbreviation of scheduled versus required staffing (for example, if a shift requires 5 staff but only 3 are scheduled, the abbreviation is displayed as "3/5")
  • Wording that indicates whether a shift is fully staffed, overstaffed, or understaffed

Change the week displayed in the calendar

By default, the Coverage page opens to the week containing the current date. You can:

  • Change the date — Click Tap the Date field to display a calendar, from which you can choose a different date; click tap Today to return to the current date.

When you display the calendar, the current date is highlighted. If you change to a different week, the current date is circled, and the start of the week you selected is highlighted.

  • Change the week — Click Tap to change the schedule to display the previous week, orto change the schedule to display the next week.

When you change to a different week, the current date is circled, and the start of the week you selected is highlighted.

Note: The day on which the week starts in your schedule calendar (Sunday or Monday, for example) is determined by your system administrator.

Filter coverage information

By default, the Coverage page displays scheduled events (shifts and paycodes) for your primary assignment, the job associated with that assignment, and the spans associated with that job. You can change values in any of the Assignment, Job, and Span fields to see how they affect coverage. Note that the assignment affects available jobs, and the selected job affects available spans.

To review schedule and coverage information for a different set of values, change the desired fields and click tap Apply .

Note: The Assignment field list only active assignments. This field is displayed only for multiple assignments employees; it is not displayed if you have only one active assignment.

Click Tap the information icon to display a legend of the schedule icons. Colors displayed for coverage levels are configured by your administrator. See Indicators for more information on the schedule legend.
