UKG Talk is a communications and collaboration platform where you connect with co-workers and managers through an activity feed, groups, direct messages, and interactive apps and events.

• View the activity feed to see the latest posts from co-workers, managers, and administrators.
• Check your schedule, respond to requests, and message people while on the job.
• Share ideas and information with your manager and co-workers.

The UKG Talk app is available for download on the iOS App Store for Apple devices and on the Google Play Store for Android devices. You must also download and install your parent product app on the same device where you install the Talk app.

You log in to your parent product to access Talk.

From the mobile app

1. Log in to your UKG parent product app. You may be prompted to supply the Tenant URL if it has not already been specified.
2. On the Home screen, tap the Communications tile A container that provides navigation or action from its summary view.. The tile shows an overview of the latest Talk activity (the three most recent posts) and conversations. If you do not have the tile or it is blank, contact your administrator.
3. Tap a post. The Talk Activity feed opens.
4. Tap Go to Talk . The Talk app opens showing the full Activity feed.

From the web console

1. Log in to your UKG parent product web console. You may be prompted to supply the Tenant URL if it has not already been specified.
2. Note: If your parent product is UKG Pro integrated with UKG Pro Workforce Management™, you access Talk from UKG Pro Workforce Management™.
2. On the Home page, go to the Communications tile. The tile shows an overview of the latest Talk activity (the two most recent posts) and conversations. If you do not have the tile or it is blank, contact your administrator.
3. Click Go to Talk . The Talk web console opens in a new tab or browser instance.

When you log out of Talk, you also log out of your parent product. If you log out of the parent product while you are still logged in to Talk, you will have access to Talk for a set number of days, depending on how the tenant is configured. 30 days is the default. During this time, if you use the Calendar app to open your schedule in the parent product, you may be prompted to log in.

From the Talk app

1. Tap the more menu (top-left).
2. Tap Sign Out.

From the Talk console

Click Logout (top-right). The parent product's log in page opens.

If your Talk account has been blocked, contact your Talk administrator. You cannot log back in to Talk until your account is unblocked.

You can schedule a meeting and invite individuals or groups. The meeting will then display in the activity feed of any user invited to attend. Users can choose whether to attend the meeting.

1. Go to Apps > Calendar. The calendar of the current month displays.
2. Click Tap Create or Create Meeting. The Create Meeting panel opens.
3. For Topic, enter a short meeting title or description.
4. Click Tap Start date and time and select the day and the time the meeting starts.
5. For End date and time, accept the default (one hour after the start) or select a different end date/time.
6. For Attendees, click tap one of the following:
   • Users. Select one or more people to invite.
   • Groups. Select one or more groups to invite.
7. Click Tap More optional fields to set the following:
   • For Location, enter the location of the meeting, such as a conference room.
   • For Alerts, set the time or day when you want attendees to receive a meeting reminder. No reminder is the default.
   • Add Notes.
   • Add Attachments.
8. Click Tap Create. The meeting is created and the meeting details display.

1. Go to Apps > Recognition to see all available endorsements. Click Tap a card to view the endorsement and add a comment.
2. To recognize a co-worker, click tap Endorse.
3. For Target, select one of the following:
   • To Everyone
   • To Groups. Select one or more groups you want to access the post.
4. Enter the name of the Co-worker you are endorsing.
5. Enter a Comment.
6. Select one of the following:
   • Select a card. Choose from the list of available cards.
   • Upload your card. Select your own image file.
7. Click Tap Send.
8. To delete an endorsement after you create it, click tap its more menu and click tap Delete.

1. Go to Apps > Folder. A view of the files and folders you have access to displays.
2. Click Tap a folder to see the documents and any sub-folders it contains.
3. To see more information about a document or folder, click tap its more menu and select View Details.
4. Click Tap a document to open it.

You can select your preferred display language for Talk headings, buttons, tabs, and other text. Over a dozen languages are available, including English (the default).

Note: Changing the Talk display language does not change the language of user-generated content you see in your activity feed, groups, and chat conversations. Those language changes are controlled by the inline translations. For information, see To set inline translations in the Talk app.

To change display languages in the Talk app

1. Tap the more menu (top-left).
2. Tap App Settings.
3. Tap Language.
4. Tap the current Display Language selection.
5. Select another language from the list and tap Apply.

To change display languages in the Talk console

1. Click Settings.
2. Click Language Settings.
3. Click the current Display Language selection.
4. Select another language from the list and click Apply.

Push notifications alert you to Talk activity such as admin posts and comments on your posts. You can manage notifications for some feed and chat activities by turning them on or off. For example, you can turn on notifications for any direct messages you get, new posts in any group you are a member of, and when someone @mentions you. Notifications are on by default.

When you click tap a notification, it will take you directly to the post or chat within Talk. If you are logged out when you open the notification, you will be prompted to log in.

To manage notifications in the Talk app

1. Tap the more menu (top-left).
2. Tap Notification Settings.
3. Select (turn on) or deselect (turn off) the notifications as needed.
4. Tap Save.

1. Click Settings
2. Click Notification Settings.
3. Select (turn on) or deselect (turn off) the notifications as needed.
4. Click Save.
