Talk Settings
There are Talk settings and configurations you can view and edit.

Your Talk profile includes standard information including your first
Additional fields will be included with your profile. For example, job location, job designation, department, state, and so on, depending on how Talk is configured. Additional fields may be mapped to and synchronized with fields in the parent product.
Note: Mapped and read-only fields cannot be edited.

- Tap the more menu
(top-left).
- Tap View Profile. Your profile details display.
- Tap Edit Profile.
- Make your edits. Some details are read-only and cannot be edited.
- Tap Save Profile.

- Click Settings.
- Click Profile. Your profile details display.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Make your edits. Some details are read-only and cannot be edited.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Save.
- Click Cancel or the back arrow to discard your changes.

Push notifications alert you to Talk activity such as admin posts and comments on your posts. You can manage notifications for some feed and chat activities by turning them on or off. For example, you can turn on notifications for any direct messages you get, new posts in any group you are a member of, and when someone @mentions you. Notifications are on by default.
When you click tap a notification, it will take you directly to the post or chat within Talk. If you are logged out when you open the notification, you will be prompted to log in.

- Tap Notification Settings.
- Select (turn on) or deselect (turn off) the notifications as needed.
- Tap Save.

- Click Settings
- Click Notification Settings.
- Select (turn on) or deselect (turn off) the notifications as needed.
- Click Save.

You can select your preferred display language for Talk headings, buttons, tabs, and other text. Over a dozen languages are available, including English (the default).
Note: Changing the Talk display language does not change the language of user-generated content you see in your activity feed, groups, and chat conversations. Those language changes are controlled by the inline translations. For information, see To set inline translations in the Talk app.

- Tap App Settings.
- Tap Language.
- Tap the current Display Language selection.
- Select another language from the list and tap Apply.

- Click Settings.
- Click Language Settings.
- Click the current Display Language selection.
- Select another language from the list and click Apply.

When the inline translation feature is configured for the Talk tenant, you can select your preferred inline translation language and enable translation of user-generated content like posts, comments, and chat conversations.
For each individual post and comment, there is a View Translation button you click tap to see its translation.

- Tap App Settings.
- Tap Language.
- Tap the current Inline Translation selection.
- Select another language from the list and tap Apply. This adds the View Translation button to each post and comment.
- To see translations:
- From the posts you want translated into the selected language, tap View Translation.
- Tap Show Original to revert the translated text.

- Click Settings.
- Click Language Settings.
- Click the current Inline Translation selection.
- Select another language from the list and click Apply. This adds the View Translation button to each post and comment.
- To see translations:
- Click View Translation in each post you want translated into the selected language.
- Click Show Original to revert the translated text.

You can view all the devices and browsers you are currently signed in to for using Talk. You can manage the devices by logging out of some or all other devices at a time. This is important for added security. For example, if you misplace or lose a device, you can sign out of the device.

(top-left).
- Tap App Settings.
- Tap Manage Signed In Devices. The list of signed in devices displays, including the current device.
- Do the following as needed:
- Tap Sign Out for devices you want to sign out of.
- To sign out of all devices (not including the current device), tap Sign Out From All Other Devices.
- Tap Save.

- Click Settings.
- Click Manage Signed In Devices. The list of signed in devices displays, including the current device or browser.
- Do the following as needed:
- Click Sign Out for devices you want to sign out of.
- To sign out of all devices (not including the current device or browser), click Sign Out From All Other Devices/Browsers.
- Click Save.
