Create an Internal URL custom tile

Note: You can use an Internal URL custom tile to link to the employee's People Information. See Configure Custom Views of People Information for more information.
  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Administration > Time application setup > Common Setup > Custom Tiles .
  2. Click Tap Create .
  3. In Name, enter a unique name. The name is for tile administration purposes; it is not displayed on the tile.
  4. In Label, enter the label you want to display at the top of the tile.
    Note: The tile displays only one label, regardless of the number of URLs you define for it.
  5. In Tile Type, select Internal URL.
  6. In URL, enter the relative path of the internal resource you want to make available on the tile. For example: /timekeeping/myTimecard.
  7. In URL Text, enter user-friendly text to represent the URL. The URL text is limited to 50 characters.
  8. (Optional) In Description, enter text to display as a label for the URL. If you do not enter a value in this field, only the value in URL Text is displayed on the tile. The description is limited to 150 characters.

  9. (Optional) To add other URLs to the tile, in Additional URLs click tap Add and then enter values in the Create URL dialog box:

    1. In URL, enter the relative path of the internal resource you want to make available on the tile.
    2. In URL Text, enter user-friendly text to display instead of the URL.
    3. (Optional) In Description, enter text to display as a label for the URL. If you do not enter a value in this field, only the value in URL Text is displayed on the tile.
    4. (Optional) Repeat this step for any additional URLs you want to display on this tile.
  10. (Optional) To change the order of the URLs as they will be displayed on the tile see Changing the order of multiple URLs on a tile.
    Note: You can change the order of only any additional URLs that you specify. The first URL you configure for the tile is always displayed first and cannot be changed.
  11. Click Tap Save.
Note: Web sites are displayed on a new tab in the current browser when a link on the tile is clicked.
