Activate a metric

How to activate a metric.

You can activate any deactivated metric (standard or custom) to make it available to the development of Dataviews, reports, and KPIs. (It will be visible for selection.) Activating the metric makes it available for processing by the domain functions that perform the real-time data loads.

To activate a metric:

  1. Open the Main Menu and navigate to Administration > Application Setup.
  2. Navigate to KPI Builder > Metric Definition. A list displays the Name, Description, Short Name, Data Source, Display Format, Precision, Type (STANDARD or CUSTOM), and Status (Enabled or Disabled) of each existing metric. You can sort this list by the contents of any column by clicking tapping the column heading. Clicking Tapping toggles between an alphabetical or reverse alphabetical sort.

  3. Highlight one or more metrics that you want to activate and click tap Enable . A warning message is displayed indicating the number of associated deactivated KPIs that will be reactivated when the metric is activated.
  4. Click Tap Yes to confirm the activation. Click Tap No to abort the activation.
