Custom Healthcare Productivity Reports

The standard Healthcare Productivity Healthcare Productivity allows managers to analyze payroll, volume, and daily labor data so that they can make informed budget and schedule decisions based on metrics for the actual volume, the core scheduling plan, and staffing decisions. Previously, Healthcare Productivity (HCP) was called Healthcare Analytics (HCA). reports do not allow you to customize the reports or select Healthcare Productivity metrics Measures and tracks workforce performance by comparing planned with actual workload or coverage, or by showing variances at any organizational level.. Use custom reports to analyze or view trends in productivity data.

Note: To request the report data object (RDO) for custom reports, you must submit a Salesforce Service Request to UKG. After the RDOs are delivered to your tenant, you can edit them as required.

Work Unit Work units (WU) define departments, work groups, and combine business structure nodes or jobs into single entities for productivity analysis. All Healthcare Productivity reports require work units. Daily Productivity

Work Unit Pay Period Productivity

  • Retrieves Weighted Volume, Total Pay Period Target Productive Hours — Default, Total Pay Period Target Productive Hours — Alternate by way of Data Dictionary keys.
  • Defines the data view as WORKUNIT aggregated data.
  • Selects the set of work units from the identifiers or from a Hyperfind query.
  • Returns the aggregated data for the symbolic time period based on a reference date.

Work Unit Pay Period Payroll for analysis of raw payroll

  • Retrieves raw Payroll data by way of Data Dictionary keys.
  • Defines the data view as WORKUNIT aggregated data.
  • Selects the set of work units from the identifiers or from a Hyperfind query.
  • Returns the raw data as ingested for a single pay period based on a reference date.

Work Unit Daily Volume (raw volume)

  • Retrieves raw Volume data by way of Data Dictionary keys.
  • Defines the data view as WORKUNIT_TIME_SERIES incremental data.
  • Selects the set of work units from the identifiers or from a Hyperfind query.
  • Returns the raw data as ingested for a date range.
  • Retrieves the data at the Volume Label + Post Date grain, based on the VOLUME_LABEL_BY_POST_DATE roll-up.

Work Unit Pay Period Volume for raw volume by pay period

  • Retrieves raw Volume data by way of Data Dictionary keys.
  • Defines the data view as WORKUNIT aggregated data.
  • Selects the set of work units from the identifiers or from a Hyperfind query.
  • Returns the raw data as ingested for a single pay period based on a reference date.
  • Retrieves the data at the Volume Label grain, based on the VOLUME_LABEL roll-up.

Work Unit Productivity Timeseries

  • Retrieves Weighted Volume, Total Daily Target Productive Hours — Default, Total Daily Target Productive Hours — Alternate by way of Data Dictionary keys.
  • Defines the data view as WORKUNIT_TIME_SERIES incremental data.
  • Selects the set of work units from the identifiers or from a Hyperfind query
  • Returns the incremental data for the date range.

Work Unit Pay Period Productivity Timeseries

  • Retrieves Weighted Volume, Total Pay Period Target Productive Hours — Default, Total Pay Period Target Productive Hours — Alternate by way of Data Dictionary keys.
  • Defines the data view as WORKUNIT_TIME_SERIES incremental data.
  • Selects the set of work units from the identifiers or from a Hyperfind query
  • Returns the incremental data for the symbolic time period.
  1. Download the report data object (RDO) as follows:
    1. Select Main Menu  > Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Report Data Object Management.
    2. Select the RDO.
    3. Click Tap Download .
  2. Open the RDO. In the report template, you can select columns from a predefined list to customize a report and create your own reports as needed.
    1. Open Report Studio: Select Main Menu  > Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Unpublished Reports or Published Reports.
    2. Click Tap Create Design .
    3. Select one of the following report templates:
      • Common Report (default): For standard reports
      • Healthcare Productivity Symbolic Time Period: For custom reports for Healthcare Productivity that are based on symbolic time periods
      • Healthcare Productivity Date Range: For custom reports for Healthcare Productivity that are based on date ranges
    4. Select Data Sources.
      • Select a data object.
      • Click Tap Finish.
    5. Create a data set as follows:
      • Select Data Set.
      • Select data sources. Click Tap the right-arrow.
      • To change the order of the columns, select a data source in the list on the right. Click Tap the up or down arrows.
      • Enter a Name.
      • Click Tap Edit Output Column.
      • Data Set Binding
      • Click Tap Finish.
    6. Edit report parameters as follows:
      • Select the Data Explorer tab.
      • Select Report Parameters.
      • Click Tap Edit Parameter.
      • Make the changes.
      • Click Tap Finish.
      • Repeat for another parameter.
  3. Compress the file (.zip).
  1. Upload the compressed file as follows:
    1. Select Main Menu  > Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Manage Read-Only Reports.
    2. Click Tap Upload Report.
    3. Select the report.
    4. Click Tap Save.
  2. Publish the custom report as follows:

    1. Select Main Menu  > Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Unpublished Reports.
    2. In Report Name — Enter the name of the report.
    3. (Optional) Enter a Description.
    4. (Optional) In Label, enter the name to display in the list of published reports.
    5. In Default Output Type select one of the following:

      PDF

      XLSX

      Interactive

    6. In Category, select Healthcare Productivity or Custom Report. If necessary, you can publish the report in more than one category.
    7. In Report Parameters, you can modify the parameter label and whether or not the parameter is mandatory or displayed as follows:
      • Select a parameter and click tap Edit .
      • Make the changes.
      • Click Tap Save.
      • Repeat for the next parameter.
    8. Click Tap Publish. By default, when you publish a report, it can be accessed by the All Reports data access profile.
  3. Approve the custom report as follows:
    1. Select Main Menu  > Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Manage Read-Only Reports.
    2. Select the report.
    3. Click Tap Approve.
  4. Add the report to a Report Data Access Profile and Function Access Profile — see the Manage Report Access topic — and assign the profiles to the manager's People Information record.

  1. Select Main Menu  > Dataviews A configurable tool for analyzing data and taking actions on a group of employees or an organization. & Reports > Report Library.
  2. From the Report Library, click tap Run Report .
  3. In the Select Report panel, select Healthcare Productivity and one of the reports.
  4. Click Tap Select.
  5. In Data Source, select one of the following:
    • Timekeeping
    • Volume
    • Payroll
  6. In Time Period, select one of the following symbolic time periods:
    • Date Range: Enter the Start Date and End Date.
    • Pay Period
    • Fiscal YTD
  7. Select any of the following metrics:
  8. (Optional) Define conditional KPIs.
  9. Click Tap Run Report.

    Status indicators

    •  In-Progress: The report is running.
    •  Completed: The report ran successfully without errors.
    •  Failed: The report has errors; check the Run Summary for details. Correct the error and run the report again.
  10. Select the report and click tap the right arrow .
  11. Click Tap View Report.
