Pay Code Tag
A pay code tag can be used to identify a pay code, or group of pay codes. A pay code can have multiple pay code tags assigned and a pay code tag can be assigned to multiple pay codes.
Pay code tags are assigned to the pay code definition (known as Tags in the pay code definition).
- Navigate to Administration > Application Setup > Pay Policies > Pay Codes > Pay Code Tag.
- Click Create
. - Enter a name for the pay code tag.
- Note: The word "None" is used in the global.duration.UseScheduledWorkRuleTransfer.Tag system setting, so this should not be used as a name for a pay code tag.
- Click Save.
- Assign the pay code tag to a pay code (or pay codes). See Paycode definition.
Pay from schedule
Pay code tags can be used to identify pay codes that do not cancel pay from schedule when those pay codes are entered in the timecard (for example, bonus or credit pay codes). For these pay codes:
- Create a pay code tag.
- Assign the pay code tag to the pay code (or pay codes) in the pay code definition.
- Select the pay code tag in the employee's pay rule.
All pay codes that have that pay code tag assigned in their pay code definition do not cancel pay from schedule when added to the timecard.
Duration pay code edits
Pay code tags can be used to identify duration paycodes that use the work rule transfer associated with the scheduled shift to calculate hours.
For more information, see Duration paycode configuration options.
