Combined Paycodes
Combined paycodes A category of time or money that employees earn, for example, Regular Hours, Bonus, or Sick. are totals of several paycodes. For example, a combined paycode named Grand Overtime is the sum of all overtime paycodes, such as overtime and double time.
Combined paycodes can include money and time paycodes, but the combined paycode must have a type of time or money.
Use the Combined Paycodes page (Administration > Application Setup > Pay Policies > Paycodes > Combined Paycodes) and the following information to define combined paycodes.
- Apply As Of — The effective date of the combined paycode. It defaults to the current date when you open the page, regardless of the date that was selected the last time the rule was saved. Enter an earlier date to allow the combined paycode to start before the current date. You cannot enter a future date.
- Summarize in — Specify whether the combined paycode holds hours, money, or days.
- Visible in Report Options and Report Totals — The combined paycode appears in Report options and Report totals.
- Visible on Totals Tab in Timecard — The combined paycode appears in the Totals tab on the timecard.
Note: Dataviews A configurable tool for analyzing data and taking actions on a group of employees or an organization. do not display totals for nested combined paycodes.
Move the applicable paycodes from the Available Paycodes column to the Selected Paycodes column:
- Available Paycodes — Currently defined paycode definitions and combined paycodes.
- Selected Paycodes — Paycodes in the combined paycode.
Note: If you are editing a combined paycode, the paycodes that are part of the combined paycode are not included on this list.
