Worker Types
You define the types of workers used in your organization on the Worker Types page. A worker type is used in pay rules and is assigned to each employee in People Information.
To define or edit a worker type:
- From the Main Menu, select Administration > Application Setup > Common > Setup > Worker Types.
- On the Worker Types page, click tap New or select a worker type listed and click tap Edit.
- In Worker Type, enter or change the worker type name.
- (Optional) In Abbreviation, enter an abbreviation for the worker type.
- (Optional) In Type Color, select a display color to associate with the worker type.
- Click Tap Save & Close.
- To make a worker type visible throughout the application, click tap Activate. To hide a worker type, click tap Inactivate.
For example, for the worker type Per Diem, you might specify PD for the abbreviation.
