Labor Category Profiles
A labor category profile is a collection of labor category entry lists. Labor category profiles can be assigned to employees and managers in People Information. For employees this is under Employee Role and for managers this is under Manager Role-General.
You can use labor category profiles to help define an Employee Group. See Employee Group.
Create a labor category profile
- Click Main Menu
> Administration > Application Setup > Business Structure Represents the logical structure of an organization as it concerns staffing. It contains the locations and jobs to which an employee may be assigned. Setup > Labor Category Profiles. - Click Create
- Enter a Name, and optionally, a Description.
- If you are creating a labor category profile that will be used to define additional labor category values a manager can transfer an employee to (using the Labor Category Profile - Manager Additions option in People Information), you may want to use the name and description to identify the profile as such.
- From the Entry Lists table, select lists from the table and click Assign
- Click Save.
Assign a labor category entry list to a labor category profile
- Click Main Menu
> Administration > Application Setup > Business Structure Setup > Labor Category Profiles. - Select the labor category profile from the table.
- Click Edit
- Select the labor category list from the table, and click Assign
- Click Save.
