Paycode Data Access Profile
Paycode A category of time or money that employees earn, for example, Regular Hours, Bonus, or Sick. data access profiles specify the paycodes that users can access. Before you create the profile, define paycodes in Pay Policies Setup. See Paycode definition for more information.
Once you have defined a paycode data access profile, you can assign it to people and to teams.
- From Administration > Application Setup > Access Profiles > Data Access Profiles, select Paycodes.
- In the Paycode Data Access Profiles workspace, click New or select a paycode data access profile and click Edit or Duplicate.
- If new, give the access profile a name and description.
- Select the paycodes from the Available Paycode box and move them to the Selected Paycode box.
- Click Save & Return.
To assign a Paycodes Profile to people:
- From the Main Menu, select Maintenance > People Information.
- Select the appropriate person from the list
- To assign paycode access to the person as an employee, go to Timekeeper > Employee Role and select the appropriate Paycodes Profile from the Paycodes "Edit Profile" field.
- If the person is also a manager, you need to define the manager's paycode access to his or her employees.
- Go to Timekeeper > Manager Role-General.
- In the Paycodes "Edit" Profile field, select the Paycode Profile that includes the paycodes the manager can edit.
- In the Paycodes "View" Profile field, select the Paycode Profile and select the Paycodes Profile that includes the paycodes the manager can view only.
- When finished, click Save
Assigning a Paycodes Profile to a team
The purpose of assigning a Paycode Profile to a team is to identify the paycodes associated with time-off requests Request subtypes that employees use to request time off for vacation, illness or recovery, appointments, personal time, or other absences. Time-off requests can be configured to support many different employment scenarios. from employees on that team that you want the system to count toward the team's absence quota.
