Worker Types

You define the types of workers used in your organization on the Worker Types page. A worker type is used in pay rules and is assigned to each employee in People Information.

To define or edit a worker type:

  1. From the Main Menu, select Administration > Application Setup > Common > Setup > Worker Types.
  2. On the Worker Types page, click tap New or select a worker type listed and click tap Edit.
  3. In Worker Type, enter or change the worker type name.
  4. (Optional) In Abbreviation, enter an abbreviation for the worker type.
  5. For example, for the worker type Per Diem, you might specify PD for the abbreviation.

  6. (Optional) In Type Color, select a display color to associate with the worker type.
  7. Click Tap Save & Close.
  8. To make a worker type visible throughout the application, click tap Activate. To hide a worker type, click tap Inactivate.
