Update Your Calendar with Your Requests
Time-off request Request subtypes that employees use to request time off for vacation, illness or recovery, appointments, personal time, or other absences. Time-off requests can be configured to support many different employment scenarios. approvals can be synchronised with and shown in your Microsoft Outlook™ calendar.
Example: To book vacation time, submit your time-off request. When the request is approved, the confirmation e-mail acts as a meeting request. When you accept, Outlook marks the approved time as an out-of-office Vacation.
- Submit your request as usual.

When your manager approves your request, you receive a notification by e-mail. You can click tap the link to see details about the request or any changes to the request.
Important: If the request is for multiple non-consecutive days, you receive one notification for each non-consecutive time period.
- If configured, you receive a second notification. This notification works like a meeting request. Click Tap one of the following:
- Accept — Add your approved time-off request to your Outlook calendar.
- If a time-off request is for a full day, the entire day is reserved as an All-Day Event.
- If a time-off request is for a half day or a number of hours, only the hours of the request are reserved as time off.
- Tentative (default if you don't respond) — Add the request to your calendar as a tentative acceptance.
- Decline — Do not add the request to your calendar. Your request remains approved; you can then cancel it.
- Accept — Add your approved time-off request to your Outlook calendar.
