Employee ACPs
The following access control points control employee access to functions in timekeeping.

This is the parent ACP for time stamp and time stamp functions, such as transfers in time stamp and cancel meal deductions in time stamp. If you select Allowed, employees can perform all functions in time stamp applications. If you disallow one or more functions, access scope for this ACP becomes Various.
- Perform labor category transfers — When allowed, employees can transfer to a different labor category.
- Perform cost center transfers — When allowed, employees can transfer to a different cost center.
- Perform work rule transfers — When Allowed, employees can transfer to a different work rule in the time stamp applications.
- Perform job transfers — When Allowed, employees can perform job transfers in the time stamp applications.
- Cancel meal deductions in Time Stamp — When Allowed, the Cancel meal deduction check box is visible and employees can cancel automatic meal deductions.
- Restrict punches The entries on a timecard that mark the beginning (in-punch) or end (out-punch) of a work interval, such as the beginning of a shift or transfer. based on punch restriction rules — If Allowed, punch restrictions are applied to punches entered through the time stamp application (HTML or Applet) and XML APIs.

If Allowed, employees can access calendar views. The calendar view displays past and future events, or custom calendar views that are configured for schedule requests.

Print Calendar — If Allowed, employees can print their schedule from My Calendar.

This is the parent ACP for the functions that employees can perform in the timecard. These ACPs do not affect a manager’s ability to access employee timecards.
If Allowed, employees can perform all included functions. If you allow one or more functions, and the access scope changes to Various.
- Allow negatives in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can used negative amounts and negative amounts are displayed in the user’s timecard. The negative amounts might be accruals or deductions.
- Note: Day-based paycodes A category of time or money that employees earn, for example, Regular Hours, Bonus, or Sick. are excluded from this setting. When this setting is Disallowed, employees can still enter negative amounts in their timecards for day-based paycodes.
- Approval in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can approve overtime in their timecard. This is the parent ACP for the following ACPs. You can select one or more of the options.
- Add — If Allowed, employees can approve their timecard.
- Remove — If Allowed, employees can remove their approval of their timecard. This enables employees to change their timecard in the current pay period before sign-off.
- Note:
Consider limiting the people who have access to the Remove Signoff ACP to payroll personnel. The timing of your payroll submission is not configured by default. It is unique to your environment. Even though there is usually an amount of time between pay period signoff and when payroll is generated, managers and employees should avoid removing signoff after a pay period is signed off, even if they think it is before payroll is run. Instead of removing signoff and making last-minute edits, managers and employees should contact their payroll department and let the payroll administrator make the adjustment.
- Approve overtime in Hourly Timecard The type of timecard used by employees who punch in and out several times each day. — If Allowed, employees can approve overtime in their hourly timecard.
- Approve overtime in Project Timecard The type of timecard used by employees who charge time to projects instead of precise in and out times. — If Allowed, employees can approve overtime in their project timecard.
- Cancel meal deductions in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can cancel automatic meal deductions.
- Comments in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can add or delete comments.
- Notes for Comments in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can use notes with comments in their timecard.
- Hours Worked Amount in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can use the Hours Worked amount in their timecard.
- Pay Codes in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can access paycodes in their timecard. Select from the following options:
- Edit — If Allowed, employees can make paycode edits in their timecard.
- View — If Allowed, employees can view paycode amounts in their timecard.
- Resolve Exceptions in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can resolve exceptions in the timecard.
- Move Amounts in My Timecard — If allowed, employees can move amounts of time or money from one paycode total to another, and delete previously moved paycode moves.
- Justify My Missed Time Exceptions — If Allowed, employees can justify missed time exceptions in the timecard.
- Employees must have an Auto-resolved Exception rule specified in their work rule to justify missed time exceptions.
- Punch Edits in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can edit punches in their timecard.
- Sign-off in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can sign-off their timecard. Select from the following options:
- Add — Employees can sign-off their timecard.
- Remove — Employees can remove sign-off in their timecard.
- Calculate totals in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can view up-to-date totals in their timecard.
- Totals breakdown in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can access the Totals add-on in their timecard.
- Calculate totals on-the-fly in My Timecard — This ACP controls the use of the Callable Totalizer in the timecard. If Allowed, the employee can view up-to-date totals immediately after making an edit and moving to the next row of a timecard.
- View schedules in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can view their schedule in their timecard.
- Edit non-active days in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can make edits in days on which they were inactive or terminated.
- Accruals in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can access accruals in their timecard. You can allow employees to move or reset accruals, and view accruals and totals in the Accruals add-on.
- Move accruals in My Timecard — If Allowed, the employee can move time or money from one accrual code to another, such as moving sick time to vacation time.
- Reset accruals in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can reset accruals in their timecard.
- Edits using scheduled amounts in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can request that edit amounts be calculated from a schedule.
- If Allowed, employees can select full sched day or half sched day instead of entering a specific number of hours. The system automatically calculates hours based on the start and end time of any shift, and also takes into consideration any automatic meal deducts and any scheduled work rule transfers.

- Reports in Timecard Editor — If Allowed, employees can generate specific reports from the timecard.
- Rule Analysis Tool Report in Timecard editor — If Allowed, employees can generate a Rule Analysis Tool report from the timecard.
- View the Audit Trail tab in My Timecard — If Allowed, the Audit add-on is available in the timecard and employees can view details.
- Edits using contract amounts in My Timecard — If Allowed, employees can use contract hour amounts when making timecard edits.
- Display Projected Punches — If allowed, pay-from-schedule employees can view punches from their schedule.
- Automatically submit timecard edits for manager approval — If allowed, timecard edits are submitted automatically to the employee's manager for approval. The edits are listed as pending in the timecard panel and do not display until the manager approves them.
- Restrict edit on days with pending timecard changes — If allowed, restricts employees from making additional timecard edits to days that have pending changes.

View transfers — If Allowed, the Transfer panel appears in the employee's timecard.
Perform cost center transfers — If Allowed, the Cost Center transfer option appears in the Transfer panel.
Perform labor category transfers — If Allowed, the Labor Category transfer option appears in the Transfer panel.
Perform work rule transfers — If Allowed, the Work Rule transfer option appears in the Transfer panel.
Perform job transfers — If Allowed, the Job transfer option appears in the Transfer panel.

Note: To configure the My Documents and Knowledge Base tiles A container that provides navigation or action from its summary view., the feature must first be enabled. Contact support to open a case for this.
- Knowledge Base — Enables access to the Knowledge Base tile.
- Document Manager — Enables access to Document Manager (My Documents tile).
- View Documents List — Enables access to view the most recent documents on the My Documents tile.
- Preview Documents — Enables access to preview documents from the My Documents tile.
- Download Documents — Enables access to download documents from the My Documents tile.
- Upload Documents — Enables access to upload documents to the Employee Documents Portal from the My Documents tile.
- Access HRSD Employee Folder — Enables access to the employee's HRSD documents folder.

Limits the employee's access to Assignments.
- Disable ability to perform assignment selection — Limits the employee's ability to edit assignment selection in timekeeping (for example, selecting an Assignment on the Punch Tile). This is Disallowed by default, which means that the employee can edit assignment selections. If Allowed is selected, then the employee cannot edit assignment selections.

If Allowed, employees can view their pay from the timecard.

If Allowed, employees can edit and view their availability and preferred availability.

If Allowed, employees can receive e-mail notifications of timecard-related events such as approval and sign-off. Select from the following options:
- E-mail when timecard edit occurs after employee's approval — If Allowed, employees receive an e-mail if someone edits their timecard after they approved it.
- E-mail when timecard is approved — If Allowed, employees receive an e-mail when someone approves their timecard.
- E-mail when timecard is signed-off — If Allowed, employees receive an e-mail when someone signs off their timecard.

If Allowed, employees will view their home page The page that is presented to the user upon login, which contains the tiles that let the user access or navigate to common tasks. when they log in.

If Allowed, employees can access their My Actions list from the My Information tab in the timecard.

If Allowed, employees can record and view location data in punches. Select from the following:
- Record location data — If Allowed, employees can record location data in punches
- View location data — If Allowed, employees can view location data in punches
- Allow punch without accurate geolocation — If Allowed, employees can add a punch when location data is not accurate.
- Punch restrictions based on geofence area — If Allowed, employees’ ability punch can be restricted to an area defined as a Known Place.
- Punching outside of geofence area — If Allowed, a geofenced employee can punch outside the geofence area. An outside punch will be flagged in the timecard as outside the geofence.

If Allowed, employees can access My Attendance.

If Allowed, ESS employees can display the schedules of other employees by location.

If Allowed, employees can access their leave cases from the timecard. Select from the following:
My Case Requests — Controls employee's access to Leave of Absence Case Requests on the Timecard.

My Case Requests — Controls employee's access to Leave of Absence Case Requests on the Timecard.

If Allowed, employees can access unposted schedules.

If Allowed, employees can access My Requests in ESS.

If Allowed, employees can edit their timecard in signed-off time periods.
Edit signed-off time — If set to "Allowed," the employee can edit his or her timecard in signed-off time periods (historical corrections Edits that occur after timecards are approved and signed-off.).
Allow override of Include In Totals — If set to "Allowed," the employee can override the Include in Totals option in the Historical Corrections timecard add-on.
Allow override of correction wage pay code — If set to "Allowed," the employee can override the wage paycode A type of money paycode that converts historical correction hours into a wage amount that goes to payroll. used for historical corrections.
Allow override of correction effective date — If Allowed, the employee can override the effective date of a historical correction.

Start Kiosk - Allows employee to launch a kiosk instance.
Copy Kiosk - Allows employee to copy a kiosk instance.
Access Kiosk - Allows employee to use the kiosk to punch and execute work forms.

Allow punch edits from Attestation The act of confirming or attesting that something is true. For example, when punching out, users may need to attest that they took their meal breaks. — If Allowed, timestamp employees can correct missing punches from within the Attestation panel.
Allow bypass of timecard permissions during Attestation — If Allowed, the system bypasses timecard FAP and DAP permissions validation during attestation.

If Allowed, enables the user to read employee assignments using the API.

If Allowed, employees can view their schedule preferences.
