  4. Set up accruals

    Accruals are adjustments for revenues that have been earned but are not yet recorded in the accounts, and expenses that have been incurred but are not yet recorded in the accounts.

        Accruals are adjustments for revenues that have been earned but are not yet recorded in the accounts, and expenses that have been incurred but are not yet recorded in the accounts.

          Accrual profiles enable you to group different accrual policies and assign them to one or more employees.

          Accrual policies, which contain accrual codes, grants, and takings, define how and when accrual balances are credited and debited. Accrual policies also define preset amounts and predefined intervals for adjusting accrual balances or codes.

          Grants credit accrual balances in preset amounts at predefined intervals, or based on earning pay codes.

        • Accrual limits

          There are three types of limits: taking, earning, and carryover. Taking and earning limits govern balance limits for accruals. Carryover limits govern how accruals can limit the amount of time or money, or both, that can be carried over from one interval to another.

          Probation periods specify when accrued time or money can be used within a specified time period.
