Open Shifts report

This report displays open shifts for each job in the selected locations. Open shifts are grouped by span and then job. Shifts can be shown with shift labels or shift times and there is an option to indicate whether the shift has transfers.

The report displays up to 28 days per page. If the report is run for more than 28 days, the remaining days are included on the next page. If there are less than 28 days shown on a page, columns are auto-sized to fit the page.

Note: You cannot change this report, but you can copy it and modify the copy.

  1. From your Report Library, click tap Run Report
  2. In the Select Report panel, select Scheduler > Open Shift and click tap Select.
  3. In the report panel, select the following parameters:
    • Timeframe — Click Tap Select Timeframe . Then, in the Timeframe panel, select the appropriate timeframe or click tap Select Range to select a range of dates. When finished, click tap Apply.
    • Location — Click Tap Select Hyperfind . Then, in the Locations & Hyperfinds panel, select the appropriate location. If you have the appropriate access, you can also click tap Select Locations to open the Select Locations glancepanel.
    • When finished, click tap Apply.
    • Define the Shift Display for the report:
      • Shift Times — Displays start and end times of the open shifts.
      • Shift Labels — Shows labels associated with the open shifts. If no label is assigned, displays shift times.
    • Include transfer display — Select Yes or No.
      • Yes — Displays an x to indicate labor category, cost center, or work rule transfer information.
      • No — No indicator is displayed.
    • Output Format — Select one of the following:
  4. Click Tap Run report. An In progress message displays while the report is running.

  5. Click Close to close the panel.

  6. Click Tap OK when the Report is Completed message appears. If you created a PDF or Excel report, a link appears at the bottom of the Report Library. If you created an interactive report, the report opens in a new tab automatically.

The report contains the following data:

  • Time Period — Shows the selected time period.
  • Location — The complete path for the location. Within each location, rows are first grouped by time span and then sorted alphabetically by scheduled job. Each location starts a new page of the report.
  • Span — Span name of the associated zone/shift. Time spans are sorted based on the start time of the span.
  • Job — Lists all jobs for the currently displayed location, sorted alphabetically within spans
  • Date — For each date in the selected time period, shows start and end times of open shifts that map to the job/location and span. If there are open shifts without an associated time span, they are listed first under the location with the span field empty.
