Deploy Business Process Models
You deploy Business Process Models to install and make them available for use. You also deploy models to test modifications.
Caution: If you cannot deploy a model, it may be invalid. Open the model in the Workflow Designer, click tap Validate the Model , and correct any errors.
- From the Main Menu, navigate to Administration > Application Setup > Business Process Setup and select Process Models.
- From the Process Models page, select the applicable Process Model.
- Click Tap Deploy
. - Complete the fields on the Business Process page.
- Select one or more Template Categories, for example, Notification Templates, Overtime Approval Timer, External Actions, Request Transitions, and so forth.Note:
How to select multiple items:
- To select more than one item, press Ctrl while you click tap the items.
- To select more than one neighboring item, press Shift while you click tap the items.
- In Start Effective, select the effective start date and in End Effective, select an end date or Forever to make the Business Process available indefinitely.
- In Status, select Active.
- In Action List, select whether to Show or Hide the Business Process.
- Note: Action List, Tile List, and GoTo List are not supported for the Attestation template category, which is specified when configuring an Attestation workflow. See Attestation Workflows for more information.
- In Tile List, select Show to enable the Business Process to display in the My Business Processes tile or Hide so it does not display.
- In GoTo List, select Show to enable the Business Process to be listed in the Go To links or Hide so it is not listed.
- Click Save, then click Return.
- The Business Processes page lists the deployed processes. Click Tap Refresh.
- Select one or more Template Categories, for example, Notification Templates, Overtime Approval Timer, External Actions, Request Transitions, and so forth.
- Complete the fields on the Business Process page.
- Verify that the process is available.
- Log in as the person who will run the process.
- In Control Center, click My Actions
. As an example, select Business Processes > Manager Delegation. - In Delegate Profile, select a person to take authority during the absence.
- Select the Start Date and End Date from the calendars
. The dates are in the time zone of the requester. - Select the Role Profile. A role profile is associated with one function access profile (FAP) and one display profile to define the functions that a person can perform.
- Click Submit and close the panel.
- Click Notifications
and click View All. - Check the Tasks in the Control Center or My Notifications.
- Note: Depending on how the workflow is configured, you can also verify that it is available by running it from the user's My Business Process tile on the home page or from the GoTo control on the Timecard, Schedule, Leave of Absence Case Editor, Employee Search, People Information, or Dataviews.
