Data Access Profiles overview
Data Access Profiles specify the information that is available to a user or group of users. You can associate Data Access Profiles with employees in People Information. Data access profiles include:
- Schedule Group Data Access Profiles — Specify the schedule groups that users can access. Before you can create the profile, you must configure Schedule Groups in Scheduler Setup.
- Pattern Template Data Access Profiles — Specify the pattern templates that users can access. Before you create the profile, you must configure Pattern Templates in Scheduling Setup.
- Shift Template Data Access Profiles — Specify the shift templates that users can access. Before you create the profile, configure Shift Templates in Scheduler Setup.
- Report Data Access profiles - Specify the reports that users can access. The All Reports Data Access Profile provides access to all present and future reports.
Note: Do not name the profile "My Report" or include reserved characters in the profile name.
- Work Rule Data Access profiles — Specify the work rules that users can access. Before you create the profile, configure work rules in Pay Policies Setup.
- Paycode Data Access profiles — Specify the pay codes that users can access. Before you create the profile, define pay codes in Pay Policies setup.
To create a Data Access Profile
- Select Administration > Application Setup > Access Profiles.
- Select a Data Access Profiles option:
- Schedule Groups
- Pattern Templates
- Reports
- Work Rules
- Pay Codes
- On the Data Access Profile page, click New.
- Enter the Name and Description.
- Select items from the Available list and move them to the Selected list.
- Click Save.
